My name is Hannah Milam and I am a senior at Dunlap High School. One of my most favorable characteristic is my compassionate heart. For 5 years now, I have traveled throughout the United States to minister and transform communities who need an extra hand. These trips have transformed my life as I have become more selfless. I believe that everyone is capable of helping others live a fuller life, and a great way to do that is through mission work. 

My youth group has played one of the biggest role in my life. They have changed me into the person I am today. I am so thankful to be able to travel the country with such benevolent youth. As we are the next generation, we strive to set a new example by showing the world that love is all we need.  

Missions has become an important part of my life as I have been impacted by my experiences. I believe that mission work is more than "getting the job done." It's about developing relationships within the community people along the way. I have formed friendships with people who I still reach out to and I love to see how I have impacted their lives. 

As a Christian, I believe that I must share whatever gifts I have been blessed with to as many people as I can reach. On such mission trips, I not only do manual labor, but I also intentionally ask about their story which forms an anchor of trust and sprouts an amazing feeling of love. 

Throughout this blog, I will elaborate on my trips and include top memories and how they have transformed my heart, the way I live daily, and my overall view on the world.
